Upping productivity

To eliminate time-consuming manual capture of sorted bin data from the Greefa pre-sorting machines at Paarl-based Novo Pack House, Farsoft built software in ViTrax to pull this data out of the pre-sorters. Farsoft’s Gerhard Nel explained that this reduced the number of operators from 12 to seven, enabling the other five operators to be employed elsewhere in the packhouse. “This method via RF scanning is infinitely more effective and productive.”
Novo GM Willem Joubert agreed with this statement. “Apart from the cost-effectiveness, the integration has enabled greater data accuracy. It’s certainly changed our processes for the better.”
