Proplum
Based in Naboomspruit, Proplum is both a farming enterprise and pack house, packing stone fruit and sweet potatoes for export and local use. It was established in 1993 and has grown apace ever since. Initially, the organisation used a produce data capturing and management tool which proved far too complicated. In 2007, it implemented ViTrax and in the words of manager Cornel Maré, they haven’t looked back.
He explained that ViTrax was working extremely well in terms of traceability, as well as providing consignment and orchard information.
