To gain electricity security and prevent costly production loss as a result of loadshedding, FarSoft recently went solar. A 6kW off-grid solar system consisting of 28 solar PV panels, coupled to a 30kWh Lithium Iron battery was installed by AWPower in April – and what a difference this has made.
“Now that spring has finally sprung with longer daylight hours and more sun, we’re happy to report that the system is running smoothly with no problems or adaptations in work style,” said FarSoft director Freddie Roux. “As an IT company, we’re dependent on a stable electricity supply. No longer reliant on Eskom and the continuous price increases, at last we don’t have to live/work in fear of electricity outages. Our experience during the last few rounds of loadshedding was that we incurred large hidden costs because of delayed projects, postponed online meetings, etc – long after the loadshedding had passed.”
He said the installation and support of AWPower was highly professional and the service ethical and friendly.
AWPower was established in 2015 as a solar energy solutions provider with a strong emphasis on engineering services. Strategic partnerships are formed with specialist organisations to provide expert research, quality products and accredited installations for clients.
